3. Fatigue.
Lack of energy and recurring fatigue are among the likely warning signs of hepatic steatosis (fatty liver). Because the liver is not functioning properly, metabolism slows down, leading to unexplained fatigue.

It is also possible to observe concentration problems, confusion, among other symptoms.

4. Dark Urine
Urine analysis can sometimes detect certain conditions or diseases. It’s important to remember that this fluid carries toxins and waste products. In cases of fatty liver disease, urine becomes darker than normal. Stools may also change: they may become lighter in color (even clay-colored) and have a stronger odor than usual.

6. Skin Changes
Another warning sign of fatty liver disease involves changes in the skin. The most noticeable skin manifestation is the appearance of jaundice. This yellowing affects the skin and mucous membranes due to the accumulation of bilirubin in the tissues.

Other skin changes associated with hepatic steatosis include:

Capillary fragility.
Discoloration of the neck and armpits.
Redness of the palms.
Appearance of spider angiomas (small, star-shaped spider veins) on the back, chest, or shoulders.
Possible appearance of white spots under the nails.
