In medical consultations, one of the most surprising discoveries is that not everything natural or vitamin-based is automatically safe. Many adults over 45 take supplements daily with the intention of protecting their   health , unaware that an excess of certain   vitamins  can cause adverse effects. One of the most discussed in this context is   vitamin E  when consumed in high doses and without supervision.

Vitamin E is an important antioxidant that helps protect cells from oxidative damage. In adequate amounts, it contributes to  healthy skin, a healthy immune system, and good circulation. However, studies have indicated that high intakes of vitamin E supplements can interfere with blood clotting, especially in people with high blood pressure, cardiovascular problems, or those taking blood thinners. This could increase the risk of events such as bleeding or even stroke in certain cases.

The key is not to eliminate vitamin E, but to consume it correctly, preferably through food, in safe and balanced doses.
